[ngg src=”galleries” ids=”21″ display=”basic_slideshow”]Over the last year and a half the main focus of my photographic practice has been the study and documentation of niché hobbies in the UK. Unusual pass times that are nothing to the masses but everything to the few. My fascination and adoration with these marginalised scenes began in January 2017 when I embarked on the project Tea, coffee & biscuits included in the price, a study of social dancing clubs in the South West, celebrating the powerful support network these clubs provide. From here I became interested in the world of animal showing; first poultry and then Canine. In search of why these competitions are taken part in with such dedication, passion and determination. These two studies together form Fancy.
